I’ve been feeling nostalgic lately with my trips back to Nashville and with my timehop app bringing up some MAJOR blasts from the past. Not to mention my favorite Buzzfeed yet. But timehop only covers your standard social media outlets…it does not pull in my past blog posts. And for me, since I began writing this blog about silly, 22-year-old things in August 2008, Megoirs (formerly Megster Meter) has turned into a journal and a record of my life. From relationship woes and joys, to trials and errors in the kitchen, to rambling thoughts about my faith, I love always having this space to lean on. I sometimes go for stretches without writing at all. And sometimes I have so much to say I don’t know where to start.
So today, I decided to go back and look at my posts during the month of April since 2009. I found a few really special gems! This might have to be a monthly thing…Click on the photos for the original blog post!
Last year, after a trip home to WI, I found a whole bunch of elementary and middle school gems. Talk about a major throwback!
Two years ago in April, I took toddler photos of this adorable little man. I can’t believe how fast time flies!
Y’all know I love baking and was really into cake bites for a while. Three years ago, I was very much in my experimentation phase…If you were around me a lot back then, you probably have some cavities by now!
I love this cosmic bowling picture, because in 2011, my now-husband and I had been dating about three months when he took me on this little bowling date. I loved it, and already loved him!
I’m pretty sure this was Katy’s first half marathon, and it was a really big deal!! And she, unlike SOME of us (aka ME) really stuck with running, and has done several races, include sprint triathalons. I’m so excited because in just a few weeks she is visiting me in Columbus for the Cap City Half Marathon!
Wow, it’s been SIX YEARS since I played Rosemary in How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. I LOVED this role, I loved the cast, and I loved my first post-college theater experience. Seriously missing my theater days right about now!
