Pumpkin Protein Bars

More homemade protein bar experimentations! This week’s recipe comes from From Fries to Fit with just a few small tweaks. I used regular honey instead of sugar-free (trying to be more natural over here), and I was out of vanilla so I used almond. It gave these bars a nice almond flavor that I happen to really like.pumpkin1

I also excluded nuts. After baking these in a square pan, I sliced them into six bars and wrapped each one in foil so it’s easy to grab before workouts throughout the week.pumpkin2

With my tweaks, each bar has about 100 calories, less than 1 gram of fat, and 12 grams of protein. There is 7 grams of sugar in each, but at least it’s natural, right?
