Southern Snow

Yet again, it has snowed in Nashville. It took me two hours to get home from work yesterday — a drive that usually takes 15 minutes, maybe 20 during rush hour. This snow came around 3:30 in the afternoon, just in time for rush hour. So between the masses of cars driving on it and the single-digit temperatures, it quickly became a packed-down icy roller coaster ride.

I watched several cars in front of me get stuck going up the smallest of hills. Without four-wheel-drive, people abandoned cars all over town. It’s just a big parking lot today.

All that to say… YUCK! But at the same time, it really is pretty outside. Here’s a picture from my phone on the long drive home yesterday. It’s pretty if you’re not stuck in it!!
