6 months into 101 in 1001

Today marks my “6 months into 101 in 1001”-iversary. If you haven’t checked out my 101 list, you should!

Here are some stats on my progress to date:
15 accomplished (14.9%)
15 in progress (14.9%)
18.2% of time has passed.

I even made a graph so that I feel like I am making progress!  🙂

I would say that since I am between 14.9% and 29.8% complete at 18.2% of the way through, I am right on par. I have a few items that are time dependent, as well as some that would be easy to do if I just would do it! Here are the top five things from my list that I’ve accomplished in the last 6 months:

1. Audition For A Show, resulting in the role “Rosemary” in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, which turned into one of the greatest experiences I’ve had to date!!

2. Apply For Graduate School.  I’m in and I’ve started and though it’s a ton of work, I am in love with having a CHALLENGE again!

3. Try 20 New Recipes.  Since I am at 9/20, I can easily say this is a favorite.  And I’ve even recently gotten onto Food Gawker with my M&M picture and my Broiled Peanut Butter Frosting!  Fun!

4. Send In A Post Secret.  I can’t share much about this with you all, but I’ve sent two now!  🙂

5. I crocheted a scarf!  A whole scarf.  And gave it to boyfriend for a Christmas present and he loved it.  And I loved it!  Homemade gifts are one of my favorite things in the whole world.

There are two other things I want to mention, too.  It goes without saying that one of the biggest challenges on my list was “letting myself fall in love.”  I know how cheesy that sounds, but letting myself be happy is always a struggle, and this was one place it really showed itself.  As boyfriend could tell you, I still have a really hard time controlling my emotions, but I feel like I’ve made leaps and bounds from where I was two years ago.

The other mention is that in the time I’ve been doing my list, I have re-organized the way I do my blog.  When I gave into the world of blogging, I had no idea what direction it would take me in.  Now, I have Crafting Mondays, Tasty Tuesdays, Picture Thursdays, and Fun Fridays (I keep Wednesdays open for things like this:) ).  I have weekend wishlists and I feel like I am beginning to connect with a blogging community…and it is so fun!  Thanks to all who take the time to read.  I love this!!

  1. Love to read your blog. Even though I don’t normally respond, I am so proud of you…and you sound so happy. Two years ago, I could not have said the same thing. I’m glad you realize it.
    Love always,
    mom
